By Zakariyya Zubair, Founder — Maslow Ventures

In a world overflowing with businesses chasing short-term profits, I founded Maslow Ventures with a deeper question in mind:

What if we built businesses that actually met the fundamental needs of people—step by step, just like Maslow described in his famous pyramid?

The Genesis of Maslow Ventures

The name Maslow Ventures isn’t just inspired by Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs — it’s a commitment to it. Maslow taught us that human motivation is layered: we begin with survival and rise through connection, achievement, and ultimately, self-fulfillment.

In today’s chaotic business landscape, I wanted to create something different: a group of ventures that collectively serve every level of human aspiration — from essential services to self-actualization.

Our Layered Business Philosophy

Just like Maslow’s pyramid, Maslow Ventures is built layer by layer:

  1. Basic Needs – Through ventures like Kitchen Fresh (fresh meat and fish delivery), we cater to essential nutrition and household convenience.

  2. Security and LivelihoodLeeway Business Consultancy and Kerala Digital Academy empower people with education, career skills, and business strategies to achieve financial and professional stability.

  3. Belonging and Community – With our café Lesfo Kababs, we’re not just serving food — we’re creating warm, social spaces for people to connect.

  4. Esteem and Growth – Platforms like Skillearn and the DAVE Program are designed to help people gain skills, confidence, and recognition in creative industries.

  5. Self-Actualization – Our creative agency Maslow Ads and our upcoming agri-tech venture PepperPalm give individuals and businesses the tools to express, innovate, and lead.

Why a Venture Ecosystem?

I believe true impact doesn’t come from one brand — it comes from a vision carried by many strong hands. By integrating different ventures under one core philosophy, Maslow Ventures becomes more than a business group — it becomes a living model of human-centered entrepreneurship.

Each brand is independently run by skilled teams but united by a shared goal: to solve real human problems with quality, creativity, and care.

What’s Next?

  • We’re building the largest design school in Kannur.

  • Preparing for franchise models across Kerala.

  • Investing in sustainable agriculture with PepperPalm.

  • Creating a hub for creators, marketers, designers, and dreamers.

Maslow Ventures is just getting started. But the foundation is strong because it’s built on what truly matters: people, purpose, and progress.

Final Thought from Me

I’m not just building brands. I’m building ecosystems of opportunity — where people can learn, earn, create, and belong.

If you resonate with this vision — whether you’re a student, a partner, an investor, or a fellow dreamer — let’s connect. Together, we can turn business into something more human.
